This is truly one of the finest albums of the 1980s.   Look at this string of 80s albums -- they are all fantastic:

  2. Murmur (1983)
  3. Reckoning (1984)
  4. Fables of the Reconstruction (1985)
  5. Lifes Rich Pageant (1986)
  6. Document (1987)
  7. Green (1988)

This is nearly "Beatles" like output in my view.   I like newer REM, but these were their salad days right here.

Wow! Probably R.E.M.'s finest album (next to Murmur). A true 80's gem from one of the best bands to come out of the last inspiring decade (the 80's).

These southern gents had their fingers on the pulse of great rock music back then. Can't say enough about songs like "Life and How to Live it", "Wendell Gee" and "Driver 8." Enjoy this fantastic reissue.
