MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

In honor of my first Allman Brothers ticket purchase of the year, here's a sweet vid of the boys playing the first two songs off their debut album. Apparently this is at the Ohne Filter Musik Pub, but I'm not sure where that is. Lineup features Dickey, Warren, and Allen Woody so its from sometime in the early 90s. The video starts with the end of "Don't Want You No More", the Spencer Davis tune that traditionally leads in to the Greg Allman penned "It's Not My Cross to Bear".Check your pulse if the you don't get chills when Dickey rips into "Cross".

joost call me goldmember ;)

& ass that I am - I didn't look over at your "shows I'm going to" - so you have my permission to give me heck on the 16 July - if not beforehand - first beer is on me (not literally though - it's too stinky & sticky for me to let you pour it on me before the show) ;)

Dooooode-ah, I am _sooooo_ sorry for having offended thee ... again first beer yadda yadda yadda - but seriously, I just feel dreadful - are you buying any of this - good that means I can stop right ??? :)

You know, I caught a helluva lotta flack for that ROD pic ... but it's so damn cool - it's still up as one of my photos - any time you want to take a gander - just keep hitting that _more photos_ link ... he'll scare the crap outta ya at some point in the collection - not saying where ... really doesn't matter - he'll scare the crap outta ya no matter what.

I hereby reserve the right to put that bad boy back up in action at _ANY_ time & for _ANY_ reason - so just don't you get on my bad side (at least - not until after the 16th July) ;)

yeah the audio kinda smacks ya in the face Rawk

Lizzie, that pic is all yours.....just be responsible with it....his hypnotic striped tankini-'nana hammock could create a cult following if its seen by too many eyes....may have to start booking the Sovereign Center for conventions.....

actually that picture might be a good thing to have to scare off any JWs in Reading

RIGHT ... But they got Prince for that ... shit - I wonder if PRINCE will be there ... how cool would it be to see Prince walking around Reading before the show ... then hanging with us while we play a few games of beerpong whilst tailgating before the rilly beeg shoe (Ed Sullivan - not Goldmember this time). My impersinations aren't what they used to be ... better brush up on my assless Prince pants routine ;)

by the way - I so totally love the "striped tankini-'nana hammock" & oh, how it rolls off the fongue - pure brilliance & after the witching hour no less !!!

Man Gregg looks so much older there than he does now. His tight braid must be serving as a facelift. I'm sure sobriety has something to do with it as well.

And the concert gods must've been listening in on us yesterday, cause I got an e-mail alert today about a Gov't Mule show in Lexington tomorrow. I am totally slacking to have not noticed that date on the calendar! I get my Warren & Mule fix, on a 3 day weekend as a bonus. I can barely contain my jubilation. If they do "Rockin Horse" I will be on cloud 9 and then some.

yeah i noticed the same...he was lookin' ruuuuuuff

JYD in da house.....did you notice how svelte he was looking in the vid above?

and keep an eye out for this guy in Lexington...

(I think Farmer is actually Warren's body double and plays half his gigs for him...how else could he play so many shows?)

They could be brothers. It's nuts. And I've never seen a tech who works as hard as Brian. It's a shame you probably have work tomorrow night, cause I have an extra ticket and no one to go with me! :-/
