So I've been on a RHCP binge. While being a fan of theirs for a long, long time (Blood Sugar Sex Magik was one of my first tapes at the tender age of 9), I've wavered in and out with them over the years. I was fortunate enough to see them live for the first time last April at Coachella and since then I have a newfound appreciation. Recently, I've totally immersed myself in their music for the first time, going through their entire catalogue. To take a page out of Wesley Snipe's book from _White Men Can't Jump_, I've gone from just "listening" to them to actually "hearing" them and I'm loving every *hot minute* (sorry that was lame). They're truly a paragon of musicianship for my generation. Looking back on the setlist from Coachella there were so many songs that it was a pleasure to hear live, but here's one that didn't make the cut. I guess I'll just have to go see them again now....
