Are you gonna drop the bomb on us?

Yes, I am...the German synthpop bomb.I was gonna post a cover or something this lovely Sunday, but happenstance led me to this video. Sometimes when you look for gold, all you find is some cheese. Synthpop Sunday, perhaps?

    dachmo says Sometimes seeing the people that sing the songs you like can ruin it a bit for you, the boys from Alphaville are just too funny looking. However "Forever Young" song always reminds me of this song from around the same time: More Cheese, Please!

    ivylander says Velveeta is both golden and cheese, so one does not exclude the other. This, however, is pretty much unalloyed Limburger. I cannot bring myself to trust a guy whose hair is as tall as his face. And nothing quite says Eighties like that weird little faux-heroic shoulder roll that the keyboard player does. In short, I am smiling through my tears.....

Cheeserific Ivy: hah...the faux-herioic shoulder roll is beautiful and i shudder just the same from a whiff of Limburger as I do to that look the singer gives at the 1:38 mark.....good god

    goodmusiconly says Cheese you say? This one is so stinky I had to delete it from my mog the day after I posted it, if for nothing else but to sideline the incrimination. I think there's another version where the singer is sporting the same kind of one-piece shell suit your boy has on in the Alphaville vid. And the hairdo's stink on ice ... I think they used the same stylist!
