I was pleased to find today that my neighbor who I thought was at death's door appears to be back home and well enough to be out and about in the yard enjoying this beautiful spring day we have here. I think this song fits the day and my mood well....and since it's Sunday I guess I can contribute to the usual cover influx of the day. Here's Vetiver covering Bobby Charles' "I Must Be In A Good Place Now".

Groovy tuneage. I especially enjoy the "Standin'" cover.
Tis a beautiful day here too. I have been sitting outside enjoying the still neighbor-free backyard. Yay. ::knock on wood::
I was saddened to find out the opposite of my neighbors earlier in the week. Back in May I came home to find paramedics taking away the woman who used to live across the street. She was dead, her husband was left to tend the fort. He was an incredible guy, WWII vet and had a story for every occasion. Two days after his wife died, he fell down the stairs breaking his hip. He never returned home, and on MOnday I got the news he finally passed away. For some reason I think the two of them would have liked this song
Pimp: Howdy boss....i will pass on that humidity for a while...bleh
T5K: don't you miss the trash farm next door? trash in more ways than one, of course
Rawk: a sad tale...strange how some couples seem to follow each other out of this world within a short period of time. The worst part about my neighbor is he probably has lived one of the most healthy lifestyles i've ever seem...he's no spring chicken, but certainly should have many years left...unfortunately his body is breaking down on him.
Tis the way it goes, I would like to think the couple across the street lived a good life and from what I know about them that much is true.
