A Grammy in the family?

Hey check it out everybody....My uncle, Fred Travers, is the dobro player for the Seldom Scene and they just got nominated for a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. I think they are gonna try and head to LA for the ceremony.   8. Lyrikhan says It's a guitar with a resonator. Some have curved necks and are played like a standard guitar while others have flat necks and are played like a lap steel....my uncle plays the latter way. Here's a picture of one...

  13. Lyrikhan says i would think all the labels in that category are indie though, no? plus they have been a pretty influential band on that bluegrass "scene" for a long, long time...may be time for their due :) we'll see. I'm sure Kanye or Justin Timberlake will win the award somehow.
