*Badfish* was fucking amazing. We got there just as the 2nd opening act was finishing up, which is not something I normally do (I like to get my money's worth, dammit), but we decided our time would be better spent getting some chemicals into our bodies before the show, so I guess we got there around 10PM. Once again, it was a super-late show at the Norva, and we didn't get out until around 1AM. But GOD, was it fucking good.First of all, they're a *Sublime* cover band, so the entire show is full of songs that everyone knows. This means that most people (aside from those two drunk bitches that were near us before we moved) are in high spirits (pun intended) and friendly, with very little gross grinding of the 17 year olds. AND they covered *Zeppie*'s "Ramble On", which added immensely to their cool-points tally, because they a) didn't fuck it up, and b) made it into a SKA song without making it suck.AND I got a tank that says "LISTEN TO SUBLIME" on it (there was another one that said "I DON'T GET ANGRY WHEN MY MOM SMOKES POT", but I didn't think my mom would think that was funny, really) and when I asked how much it was, the guy said $20, and I got bummed and said, really just to complain to Jessica, "I only have $15," but the guy yelled "SOLD!" and threw it to me. Then the guy next to me tried the same thing and the merch guy told him to grow boobs. Ha.I think I'm going to make an entire series of "LISTEN TO" shirts. I have one that I made a long time ago that says "LISTEN TO JEFFERSON AIRPLANE" on it and I've decided that they really suit me - saves me the trouble of having to tell people all the time (although how weird is it that I made a shirt like that on a whim a few years ago and now they're turning up other places). I can just pick a band I wanna endorse that day and wear the shirt around.
