how did i never listen to *Robyn Hitchcock* until last night? I mean, hello? He's amazing? WTF where WAS everyone for the past 22 years when they should have been telling me to listen to him? Seriously, not one single person. Ever. Happened by accident last night. Best thing ever. The entire world let me down on this one. Slackers.I'll not forget this, Earth.

  2. Kevbo says Oh crap. Robyn asked us not to tell you. WHO TOLD HER? Fess up!! C'mon! I'm going to turn out the light and when I turn it back on the person who told... oh wait, that's for murders in Agatha Christie novels. Nevermind. Damn. Next you'll be finding out about the musical genius that was Seymour P. Goldfarb III or Quentin McTavish. Oh crap. My bad. They asked for secrecy too. My fault, everyone.

  3. kristiana says I think extraordinarypoems had a similar epiphany recently.... sorry, Lyla, didn't know you were lacking! One of my past bands did a Hitchcock tune on a compilation one time. I don't even own a copy of it, LOI.

  4. Rawkkiddoh says I think I had put the memo in with your TPS reports. I got to see him play a show with Billy Bragg, one of the top live shows I have ever seen. Let me be the first to say it, go listen to Billy Bragg. I dont want the guilt of you not knowing him as well.

  7. Lyla says dale, i'm always up for good music suggestions. i'm not one to shy away from crack in any of its form (except for actual, you know, ...crack). but musical crack, BRING IT ON. sooooo i have billy bragg, Seymour P. Goldfarb III and Quentin McTavish. those last two sound made-up to me, but i'll check them out regardless. you guys just added to my to-do list, so congrats. sweetbro, i gotta say - i'm glad i'm not the only one who's apparently IN THE DARK thanks to the slacking of the entire planet. so woo for us. and now, i'm going to finish getting drunk. because, well, i know what my skills are, and i like to use them. i might not be good at much, but beer and i, well, we have a special relationship.

  8. Rawkkiddoh says Something to think about since you are goo-goo for Mr. Hitchcock. The fact alone that Billy Bragg has toured with him, well it says alot. Listen to Workers Playtime and you will be hooked. Give your beer a kiss good night for me.

  9. Lyla says i don't just kiss my beer, i make out with it. i've heard billy bragg's name a lot, so i'll jump on that boat tomorrow, probably.

  11. Sweetbro says thanks for all of the suggestions! I've been wanting to check out the mountain goats for awhile... and I wish my brain had that many tasty musical suggestions instead of all the admin bs I'm sorting through right now :)
