What It Is To Burn - (studio)
ok, so i just ran across a really old journal post of mine, where i named my favorite bands. apparently, they were:The Deftones, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Sublime, Goldfinger, Unwritten Law, Greenday, Marilyn Manson (listen to the MUSIC and not the IMAGE), Sugarcult (a new fetish), OLD Our Lady Peace, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, yes, I know I was born in the wrong decade, Me First and the Gimmee-Gimmees, Weezer, Bush,Nine Inch Nails, Chevelle, Orgy, Finch, Fenix TX, Queens of the Stoneage, Flogging Molly, Hot Hot Heat, Less than Jake, the White Stripes, Violent Femmes, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Audiovent, Mary Prankster, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Oasis, Propagandhi, Rage Against the Machine (DAMN THEM for breaking up right when I was starting to really like them. Fuckers.), the Ramones and Sex Pistols (duh), the Who, Seether, Sneaker Pimps, the Suicide Machines (it seems to me that nobody cares that I'm blinded by my innocence), System of a Down, Tenacious D, A Perfect Circle, Wheatus, Joydrop, Denali, Drain S.T.H., Collective Soul, the Strokes, the Offspring, Reel Big Fish, Alien Ant Farm and a TON of others.(this was copied and pasted)i mean, dear god. i don't know when i grew up, but thank fucking christ is all i can say. i mean, i don't even know who audiovent is, but i bet they sucked. a lot.i mean, some of these aren't bad. i stick by nirvana, nin, zeppelin, janis, and some others. but for fucking christs sake. seether?!? i am going to kill myself.ha! sugarcult. ha! chevelle! drain sth? they fucking blow. ...finch? fenix tx? for chrissake, the gimme gimmes? a plague on all their houses, i say.holy crap. this was so many years ago, and my face is STILL burning thinking about this.ha.

  3. Lyla says yeah, i sort of still like them. i mean, sort of. like, a little. a small amount. a bit, really, just a bit. it's really just that they're so atypical of what i'd listen to now, i think. so much so, that it's really sort of comical.

  4. Scarlett Echo says Aww...come on, Lyla. Wipe that blush off your face. Embrace the progress. ;) Besides, I still love a couple of those bands...madly. ROTFL... *checking reflection* Nope. No embarrassment here.

  7. Scarlett Echo says You've gone and dared me, have you? hehehe... Well, there are some bands on there that I'd sing along with on the radio that I won't bother listing but here're the bands I'm not the least perturbed about openly hugging. Led Zeppelin - Current passionate love? With the exception of 'Houses of the Holy' - no. I gave all my Zeppelin besides that to my son. But yeah, that album is in my fave cds rack, apart from the others. Jimi Hendrix - I can't say I'd listen to an entire album but I'm not red-faced if I hear Hendrix and launch into a bad waah-waah-waah air guitar session. hehe... The Beatles - There's one band I'll NEVER be embarrassed about floving. I recently, finally, got the "white" album on cd. I was too cheap to pay that price and it was on sale and believe me, if music ever hypnotized someone into a state of euphoria, it was when I was driving home from the music store with that in my car stereo. That album in particular and probably Abbey Road, has massively influenced so much music I love today and I'm eternally grateful The Beatles got stoned for a while there. LOL Bush - Gavin Rossdale's voice is like sex on a stick. Yum. No apologies from me here. Nine Inch Nails - Again. NiN, say from '89 to '97 is what I've collected and I'm weak in the face of it. the White Stripes - No words needed besides L.O.V.E. Soundgarden - I've said it often, if I were a male rock singer I'd want to sound just like Chris Cornell, so I'm not ashamed to say I love Soundgarden and Audioslave. ^^^^^^^^ Audioslave Sex Pistols - I appreciate them more today than I did eons ago.

  14. Lyla says for the record, the finch wasn't my fault, it was my best friends. she's improved as well. (she's not as cool as me, though, so i still tease her about it)
