hmm...so usually i don't like to post a million times a day because i know those email notices can get annoying (my inbox is permanently clogged, it seems) but now that they're down, i'm taking advantage.so this will be another extremely unimportant post.apparently, i left my computer on at home, playing music that's being fed into the mog brains. from work, i'm sitting here and looking at the new songs as they come up, and every few minutes i'll get this wistful look on my face as *pavement* starts playing, or whoever else is on that playlist. earlier, it was on *dismemberment plan* and i pulled out my Zen and started digging through it so i could listen to some on my break, only to find out that i haven't put them on here. how many other bands have i left out? i feel like i've been deleting everything and starting from scratch since i got this thing, because i keep realizing that i've forgotten something else. *also, i know this is a little late in the game*, but has anyone else heard *cursive*'s _happy hollow_? i sort of automatically dismissed it when it came out (replacing strings with horns? not my thing) but today some of it randomly came on and i sort of volleyed back and forth between wanting to dance around and wanting to scoff because this is not the cursive i know and love.so, my dilemna is this:what happens when one of your favorite bands reworks their sound almost entirely? and goes in the OPPOSITE direction of your preferences? but you still like the album itself, just wish that it hadn't been released by your band? WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT?i know i'll get the "you have to be openminded" thing, but consider the source: *I'm the same girl* who now refers to *311* as *"Three One One"* because they changed their sound so drastically, and while I like it, they aren't the same band they once were (the difference between "down" or "all mixed up" and "amber" is the difference between fucking night and day, i mean seriously).*So, _Happy Hollow_: *should i just bite the bullet and give it another shot? did anyone else NOT like it? did anyone LOVE it?did it confuse anyone else this much?
