(music) snob solutions

now, this is of course subjective, and if you like one of these bands, more power to ya, but kamille and i were talking today, and we noticed another one of those weird music trends.there are basically no good bands named after specific geographic locations.for instance, *boston*. or *chicago*. or *kansas*. or *berlin*. or *alabama*. or *america*. or *texas* (who, bizarrely, are from scotland). there are, as with all things, notable exceptions, like *calexico*, or *(of) montreal*, or *(architecture in) helsinki*, or *the dresden (dolls)*, or *portishead*, or *alaska!*, or *beruit*.and yes, almost all of those other bands above (the suck section) have at least one decent song. for example, i like _dust in the wind_. i've been known to sing along to _take my breath away_ (also known as "that song from top gun"). but overwhelmingly, they just...well, they sort of suck.i'm fully expecting to get at least one "BUT LISTEN *BOSTON* IS A REALLY GREAT BAND AND YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SUCKS!!!!!!!!" but hey, it's just my opinion. and kamille's, i suppose. go find HER.
