WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Raffi's number one fan

Posted over 2 years ago
I never thought I would be writing a review of a Raffi album! My daughter has enjoyed this album since she was 6 months old. My husband and I are both musicians and the poor kiddo has had to suffer through eight hour drives in her carseat because we were touring. We filled up our cd cartridge with Raffi, Jack Johnson and Bedtime with the Beatles.. She has had a blast with this album. Each time a new song would come on she would kick her feet and get so excited. We have also enjoyed Bananaphone.. and look forward to a Raffi "Best of" album. I never thought I would find so much joy in a childrens album but seeing my daughter react to music with such excitement is amazing. The funniest part is going about your day with a tune stuck in your head and realizing you have been humming "Oats and Beans and Barley Grow" or "Joshua Giraffe" all day!

  1. Manos says Ha! I love this post! I used to dance to Sting's "We'll be Together" with my daughter (then about a year old; now 19). She'd get so excited when the song started. It felt wonderful.

  3. Wade says Raffi is--well he is just awesome-I mean talk about knowing your audience and what they like!. But check out Dan Zanes when the kids are a little older.

  4. chulsmith says you should check out the lullabye metallica album for kids. they're instrumentals like the bedtime with the beatles. it's weird hearing metallica all baby style. if not, you could always pick up one of cheech's kid albums... and i think there's a ramones kiddie album, too, somewhere.
