Yeah....not just a clever post. I say Tortoise last night in Ann Arbor...I got some cool video clips, but I am novice enough not to be able to post them on youtube...I'll try. It was a great show...although the median height seemed to be 6'6".....Tall fans those Tortoise Heads. The opener really blew everybody I went with back. "David Daniell":http://www.myspace.com/davidwdaniell. and he was quite amazing. It was the first time I have seen ambient(good ambient) music played live. It was wonderful....we drank, talked and occasionally said.._This Is Freakin' Awesome!!_ Tortoise played with a vengeance. They completely pounded everything they did last night. The crowd was feeding them watts and lumens, jolts and volts of energy and they were converting it into furious music. I love that band. It is so hard for me to imagine getting something like that started....I can just imagine doing 15 minute avantgarde instrumental jazz at an open mic. Tough road but when your that good your gonna shine...........
