I May Have JUST Fallen for a Married Man

Posted over 4 years ago
First off... being a *Philly Girl* it is really hard for me to put the song *+Detroit Waves+* as the TAG... but it's worth it... the song is spectacular. The drumming in the song reminds me of old school U2 Larry Mullen Jr. on the skins as it barrels along & never lets up; THAT is the only school of the *_YOU TWO_* that I RAWK !!! I am especially fond of *_WAR_*. I wish there was a way to get Matt Nathanson from the stage to your offices/homes the way I saw him this afternoon. I was FLOORED, & it takes a hell of a lot to get me in that state. Now these *+WCL Free at Noon+* shows are, well, erm, h1. FREE !!! & Mr. MN himself, he gave us quite the show. He's infamous for his potty mouth, _(yet another reason I am falling for him)_, & had to keep that in check :( as the show is LIVE... but once the show went off air... a few dirty words came to be ;) He found ways even during the show to slip in that one song, *Come & Get Higher* is _not_ about a certain way of pleasing a woman, no it's about.........h1. _+Ice Cream+_& kittens. See, he's my cuppa tea for certain!!But I am totally serious when I say I may be falling & falling hard kiddies. As soon as I saw he was this week's Friday Free @ Noon WCL, I shot an email to two of my MOGMEN: "*Echoesof*":http://mog.com/Echoesof & "*Tallpo*":http://mog.com/Tallpo . Unfortunately, Po couldn't make the show... SLACKER ;) *Echoesof* snagged two for himself & a friend, while his wife got two for herself & their love of a little girl, their daughter Reily. Both Echoesof & his wife have been on me for what seems like *_AGES_* to see Mr. Nathanson with them. They were at ALL the live shows from the Point, they head to NYC to see him, very big fans. Here's where *_I_* was the slacker, now I am kickin my arse once again... _*I do so solemnly swear, never no more will I miss this guy when he comes to town !*_ Why are all the good ones taken/married ??? It's not fair to a single girl... especially when they were so meant for me... I mean seriously, I *_LOVE_* ICE CREAM, though I am allergic to cats ;) & I am all about _*"I wanna be the car crash, I wanna be the capsize"*_. His turn of phrase blew me away & it is all the more evident throughout the new songs from his album *Some Mad Hope*. Then there is his quirky banter & musicality that sealed the deal. & I hear from Po that Echoesof - who, may I remind you, has seem MN countless times - he felt this was one of/the best performances he's seen from the guy. So I guess, if I am going to meet my future husband, it should be on his best day... now, how to dispose of the present wife ;) *+NO worries+* kiddies, I am not *_that_* bad... but I will be damned if every one of those songs didn't touch me - deeply. He was singing to me, singing my life. & any artist, when they can pull that off, yeah, I'll fall & fall hard :) Rhett Miller, Evan Dando, Charlotte Martin (girlcrush) - all married - all singing directly to me or speaking for me - I've written love letters to all of them - well I didn't actually send them, but they were written for their eyes only) !!!!! Would this count as other skeletal remains trapped in my closet ???August 14th is the date to remember - when Some Mad Hope releases, heads directly to my pod & into my ears. Can't come quickly enough. The second video below, *_embedded_* but trust me when I say CLICK IT !!!! It's hysterical - give you an idea of the man's sense of humor... ahhhhh funny men who love music... h1. DAMN ;) Did I mention he came back out one last time to sing *Suspended* unplugged with all of us ???? Really great end to a magnificent show. He's got me drunk on his voodoo, & promise you I will see him again & again :)*+Car Crash+*"*+Come on Get Highter+*":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEpwuhwMjvY*_Detroit Waves_*This last one is a *twofer*... & I would recommend you _STAY_ til the end... great finish with a new song - *_Take My Virginity_*

  4. Ashleyness says OMG, I love him Lizzie, Curve of the Earth is one of my all time favorite songs. For some reason I haven't kept up with him as much as i would have liked too, though. Looking forward to the new album - thanks for the (in your words) up heads. ;) I'll have to go see him sometime soon. If I had known about the WCL show i would have tried to make it down for that, but I'll keep an eye out for next time.

  6. Tallpo says Wasn't sure of M.N. back in 2003 but Echoesof convinced me to take a trip to the Point and see one of his shows. Not only was I pissed at myself for not going to the Point earlier but I was totally entertained by the music and entertainment value of M.N. Even if your not a big fan of his music the stories and fans will keep you intrigued. He's one of those artist where the live shows are better than the album. Welcome to the M.N. Club Lizzard : ) Only wish I could have made the Free at Noon Show at XPN yesterday. I was there in spirit with diaper and bib in hand ; )

Def making a note of Nathanson. He's awefully flirty, for a married man, there in the begin of the 3rd video wouldn't you say?! ooooh...Tool in a couple days? Saw them on 5/29. Seen them quite a few times, NEVER a let down. They have a big spot in my musical love place.

  11. Lizziegreeneyes says *Ashley:* If the live songs are any indication of his studio album - it is gonna burn a hole in my CD player - they are that good !!! *Flood:* I love that you love my posts !!! I always know it's a good one when I get the *job well done* from you :) *Po:* the price you pay for a fabulous family with a brand new addition - think you got the one up on me =-) But Mr. MN hisself really floored me ;) & I got to hang with you the following day - so I had the best of both worlds !!! *SunshineD:* A flirty married man - so bad they're almost good ??? *Ashley:* get this latest one or the Live at the Point. I am sure this new one will be stellar & I can totally vouch for the Point disc as well - Put two of his comedic talks with the crowd & Suspended on a mix for Kevin... think they got the well done from him... *Awww Kiddo:* you're too cute - MN is for Matt Nathanson - but we can include you if you so desire ;) Tell Ashley how sweet those three tracks are... pretty please :)
