YOU WANNA KNOW WHY I DON'T POST ON MOG ?!?

*CUZ I FRIGGIN CAN'T !!!* Please go to my PAGE - if you can get there - to read the entire post... THANKS !!! TRUST ME, I would LOVE to get my thoughts down in the world of MOG - I shared the experience of a lifetime with 8 other people whom I now consider & LOVE like family... They are expressing their throughts & ideas regarding our trip to the SoCal desert & if I am lucky I can post a comment or two (most get gobbled up by SCHLOOPY), but after what seems like the 453 time I've tried to get to My MOG, I am bounced out, timed out or asked what I was doing when MOG hicccccccuped...I will have to find other locations to speak my mind bout all things MUSIC & FAMILY related... it's too much of a headache here in the ville of MOG & I don't want to wreck my happiness & peace that I recently found thanks to Amber, Dale, b, Henry, Kate, August, Mark & Jaye... Please forgive me y'all !!!*In all seriousness - it's really time that MOG look into improving the environment with some stablization (as my bro says), let's hold off on the "snazzy new features" til we get all the crucial features running without major glitches. For it to be three days & counting til I could finally get on here to post something - that is far more of an issue than whether or not I can look up another fellow MOGger or play streaming tunes etc.*For the record - I've had issues logging on for months now... this is not something that started a few days ago... I think many could say the same.

    Lizziegreeneyes says *Will* You will always be able to find me & my musings (somewhere in the ether)... and I can't leave MOG altogether - this is my first eHome & will always be the place that brought some of the coolest kats into my real & elife (you included)... so "I Stay Away" is not a song I'll be singing anytime soon - less it's along with the iPod ;) *Andrea* I sure do hope so sis... I am sick of being so dang gassy ;)

I'm currently eating red hot blue corn chips and having a tasty iced tea. You know your post pops but it's not the same without strikethru's and italics. What kind of a simple feature is that to not work?

    contrabandwidth says I've said it before, but Mog needs some kind off offline posting program in which you can time your posts, and be given the option to post when available (you know when Schloopy's actin' the fool). I often compose my posts in Google Documents, then I cut and paste. Of course then Mog truncates them, and I wonder what the point of putting the work into a long post is in the first place.

    cbertsch says Boy, oh, boy, do I hear you. I have more or less given up. I don't see why things have to be so much harder than they are elsewhere in the world of blogging. Seriously. I love the idea of MOG, but my frustration keeps me away. That said, it's always nice to hear from you!

    Torch says Funny, I haven't seen Schloopy in ages. Mostly because I get "Gateway 504" errors - meaning the MOG server couldn't even respond poorly... :-(

    cameron96 says Clipped articles , truncated ravings , broken hearts , gassed up rabbits , blown fuses ; yep I seen it before back in late 06'...havnt been much around these here parts none so much as of late - just got back into town as it were but seems ta me that that there triage aint working much right...seems to me that the band aids they fixed those there problems aint worth the while none now anyways... seems a long look under the hood is in order I suppose...just like befo... yeppers back in 06...good luck there young missus...

    Dale says Now don't you feel better getting all that out? ;) You know I'm with you all the way on this. MOG is only a great as its members, and when valued members of the community cannot post, or we don't get notifications when people post, the community will crumble. Or go elsewhere.

I hate missing out on my friends' & trusteds' & family's posts when the notifications are all kerflooooey. Less crazy features & more to the heart of the matter... make this a place people can EASILY come to, write & post to & go about their day :) I do feel much better :)

    democlez says As contrabandwidth suggested, I often write my posts up in notepad or dreamweaver first then copy and paste. Then again, it seems the longer the post the less people read it. Other than that, I haven't had much trouble posting to Mog. I do get the same error every time I first log in though; it asks for my country and when I select it, I get an error. Grumble. Hopefully things get more stable and more of your posts are able to make it out the the masses. It's always good to hear from ya!

    Blue Meenie says I feel much the same frustration. After 2 or 3 attempts, I had given up trying to post for the last little while. Still drop in, read when it lets me. But have resorted to blogger lately and strangely enough now that I think about it, every post there has been music related!

    Lizziegreeneyes says *democlez* yeah - I work in word til I am ready to post it - problem is I can't even get to my own page to get to post it... we'll see, I deleted a ton more of my widgets & that is supposed to help - it didn't at first - maybe now that my page is nearly blank (heheh) I will be able to get to my MOG page to post. Thanks !!! *Blue Meenie* I definitely try to catch others posts, but know how much mine have been lacking lately & want to change that... if only I could get a regular positive response from MOG ;) I'll keep my toes crossed both our situations improve - along with anyone else having issues !!!

    fairportfan says Yeah, i use "*EditPad Lite*":http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html (which is a great text editor, BTW, and free) to write longer posts, and then import them to MOG. As to longer posts, based on some of the comments i've gotten, a fair number of people *do* read them all the way to the bottom. That said, i haven't had a lot of trouble with MOG's gaseous pain lately - sometimes it takes two forevers to log on, but other than that i haven't had that much trouble. And i get really good results composing in "*EditPad Lite*":http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html, which is a really good text editor and it's free. Did i mention that it's free?

    HelenMarie says A stable, faster, consistent site should be the cake. And cool people to chat about the content being the icing. Instead we have a cake full of cool people and a thin layer of icing. Or maybe just some sprinkles. I think a few rounds of cake (or pie) throwing would feel good. Please leave him alone. More seriously, MOG was down today for maintenance or something. And it seems not all MOG is back up and running. For instance, I've been trying to view your page for 20 minutes now, Lizzie. No luck. I feel your frustration. I think your ire is well justified. MOG seems to run on chaotic mode since the launch of MOG 2.0: no access to your page, crazy tags assigned by Rhapsody, line-breaks work for some but not for others... I could go on and on. But I think the people at MOG are already aware of the various issues, that is I hope they do!!! Anyway, I'm still pleased to hang around these premises because of people like you and all those above who take part in building a nice shelter for castaways like me ;) Hang on, oh Green-eyed One!!!

    Wahiawa786 says I tried to get to your page and got the "Gaseous Pain" page. Earlier, when I tried to follow the "More" link on another post, I got the "Rails Application" page. The Great Internet Bandwidth Crash may be just another YouTube viewing request away. (That's one of the reasons why I only do MP3 uploads, another is the limited video stream playback abilities of my Y2K Mac Pismo notebook.)

    david hyman says lizzie, we're pushing a fix this evening for your specific problem. only a few people have page loads as heavy as yours didn't anyone here reach out directly to you about this? trying to decrease load of your page until we push the fixes by removing some widgets? i thought they did as i told them to reach out to you directly. did that not work? lemme know.

I am not too tech savvy... sorry bout that :)

    Lizziegreeneyes says Hi *David* I talked with Adam Sturgell about it... dropped a TON off my page & still am having the exact same problems... so I dropped even more... Fear not, I may have lost the battle to log on & post (for example to respond to you two seconds after I responded to the folks above you, I got kicked out & had to log in 5 times before it got me through with 503 & 504 errors) I will win the war, I LOVE this place - just wish the issues we've had for quite some time were more ironed out than they appear to be. Though I think all of us love bells & whistles, what we all really would love to see is a smoother flow when logging on & posting/commenting.

    TylerDurden says Lizzie -> girl, it took 'them' over a week to fix my email alerts when I switched e-mail addresses, but 'they' did fix it before I committed Mogicide -> and I too find it impossible to navigate to another mogger's home page -> these upgrades have been pissing me off since they started, and now with the record label funding, I'm sure it will get much worse before it gets better. no matter your choice to stay or to go, much love to you -> drop me a line as to where I can still chat with you online -> since you can't get to your mogmail, let me know and I'll give you my e-mail :->}

    Mike the Knife says The frustration factor can get to you. For instance, I can't stand not being able to hear a streaming song posted by a Trusted MOGger. But I remain hopeful that the kinks will be worked out. It IS a work in progress...
