So I have been quite the slacker lately - illness, issues, a tumble down the hill behind my garage that put me & my back outta commission for several weeks (reminder to myself not to drink multiple glasses of wine & then take a sleeping pill & THEN go smoke a cig in the dark of night)... let's just say it's a hella 2009 so far :) While I was trying my best to heal up my back I was flippin channels & adjusting my heating pad & stumbled onto an Irish band I had never heard of before (I know - the shock & HORROR... is it even possible) ?!? Oh my goodness kiddies - they are quite lovely & a three piece - I do so love me a three piece with edibly cute Irish lads... ahhhhhhhhh who am I kidding - anything Irish has this greeneyedgirl smiling & singing Oh Danny Boy... Well the song fits as the lead singer for the band is a lad by the name Danny, with vocals that could be compared to lead singer of another fave band of mine Mute Math... I can't say enough about these gents. They're not the most "indie", they have a more mainstream sound to them, but the lyrics are fairly tight & the songs I can't get outta my head... haven't been able to since falling slowly into them on St. Patrick's Day. SO go & grab a pint of your favorite brew, hop onto their website at www.thescriptmusic.com & let me know whatcha think !!! Fear not those who know Ms. "ole" greeneyes, they aren't even close to my MOST Favorite band The Frames, but they are just what a girl on the mend is looking for in some tuneage & I think quite a lot of you will really dig their melodies... Especially Man Who Can't be Moved http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw-J8kC5DHo , Breakeven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2omyqxbsKw , We Cry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTGev5ADBSQ , Before the Worst & Rusty Halo.

'Bout time!
something told me to expect one of my all time favorite MOGgers & gent with one of the best smiles to be the first to comment :)
Good to be back... even if my actual back is still outta sorts - feels grand to be talking new music with my most beloved eFriends !!!
hey you, I was wondering where you had disappeared to! When you are all recovered and things calm down a bit, we still need to hang out. I'm back in the Philly area full time (for now at least) so there are no excuses!!
Nice to see you back. And sorry about your back. I've been following along, though not posting.
Wahey!!! Saw your avatar on and old post just a few days ago and felt sad that we hadn't seen those "!!!!!!!" and LOTS OF CAPS on these pages for far far too long. Sorry to hear about your travails, but you will indulge in vices! Hope you mend really soon.
Yeah, The Script are taking off over here in a big way. Those harmonies sound very easy on the ear don't they? It could go all horribly Clive Davis on the next record but maybe they'll stay this side of commercial and grow into something really great.
Snapalicious..good to see ya kid. Hope the mend is quick and full.
Oh my goodness girl - that's the best news I've heard in days... check them out - maybe we could go see them open for Adele in May I thinkie at the Electric Factory - would be a PERFECT first meet :)
Charlie - I have missed you sompin fierce sir - glad to be back & will keep working on the spine til it gets to it's ripe old self sometime soon (I hope I HOPE) !!!!!
Sorry my travails kept me from being online really in any way shape or form sir... feel I've let you down. & I must TOTALLY agree with you - they are quite catchy & I think they can avoid the Clive bug as they've been writing hit after hit for others over on this side of the pond for some 8 years now... think they gots it in em for a long haul :) sure do hope so - would love to watch them grow :)
Cody - been thinking on you constantly - could see you really vibing on these guys... they have a total respect, admiration & love for the MOTOWN sound... as I my love admiration & respect for you, your most MO-yyy ness !!!
now who's got the SCRIPT for my pain meds !!!!!!!!
;P
Hey! I still have a few leftovers from when my pain went away - but ya never know when ya might need 'em again. Happy that you've tiptoed back into the MOGiverse. Saddened to hear of your travails. (I could write a book about my ongoing and far too lengthy recovery, except that the less I fixate on it, the more likely my chances of properly healing.) As for The Script, I'd say "Well-written and performed!" Good find!
Just when I thought the neighborhood was all cleaned up.
Just the other day I was wondering where you'd gone. Welcome, back!
Mr. Cutlery... ain't that the truth... taking it easy... but getting back in the groove & it sure feels good - helps when we got great friends & grand tunes :)
Chris... good luck with that - this DIRRRRRRRTY girl will always be a pox on this hood ;)
Mark... much ass grassy ass senor... feels grand to be back in action

i'm liking the new pj harvey. i got a pre-release and got to do a video interview with her a couple of days ago.
planning to check it out over the weekend... I really dig the PJ Harvey & J Parish combo... nice slow burn to their efforts so I am really excited to give it a spin :)
this one is a tough one. i had a hard time swallowing it until i saw them do it live on tuesday. requires many many listens to sink in.....
