On those rare days... I find an artist that soothes me. From the inside out, top to bottom, clear through. When' ere this green eyed girl's ears happen upon an Irish singer-songwriter that has sincerity, a gentle lilt & a voice sweetened with lavender honey, she must share the artist with her closest of friends. Well kiddies, this lady of the green-eyed sort has found such an artist in Fionn Regan. Quite lovely. Completely beguiling. Totally entrancing. Utterly Fey. And if you be wary of trusting me... look to the WIKI for support of my claims: *ALL TRUE :)*"*+FIONN REGAN+*":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fionn_reganThis album is sublime - but the song that has been on constant rotation, the one that really speaks to me is the song below... *+The Underwood Typewriter+*.Hope you enjoy this amazing addition to the singer-songwriters of Ireland as much as I do (if not moreso - though I would highly doubt that) ;)

  1. cbertsch says Very nice. I like that kind of guitar work. Wouldn't have known he was Irish without the preamble, however. Reminds me of the days when Irish and British artists wanted to sound un-Irish and un-British, if not explicitly American.

  2. Lizziegreeneyes says Yet we could still figure it out if we had the discerning ear & REALLY listened hard... & the same can be said in the world of acting... worst case for me without a doubt - Kevin Costner in that Robin Hood movie... poor guy... couldn't steal the accent !!! Thrilled you like him - think he's grand :)

  3. cbertsch says And he has that hair that flops messily over his forehead, always a singer-songwriter plus! Americans are usually terrible at accents, especially when they are speaking English other than they would normally speak it.

  4. Lizziegreeneyes says Meryl Streep however is the GODDESS of accents - personal opinion doesn't enter into it - One need only watch Sophie's Choice/Out of Africa/Silkwood etc. to know I am absolutely correct in this assessment !!! :) Loved the floppy hair comment - laughed out loud for that one !!!
