What's YOUR Favorite T ?????

Posted over 2 years ago
Shuffle was really *REALLY* good to me today... After my dose of *+HARDER+* stuff... seriously people - *ACOUSTIC on a MONDAY ???????????????* we need to stage a revolt :) Anyway, by early afternoon I was ready for some lighter faire... threw the pod into _(puts hand to the side of mouth & whispers)_ *shuff mode* & once again the pod takes be back to hanging out in Kristin's dorm room freshman year. It was at this time I seriously started aquiring tshirts of my own. After losing a few & gaining a few - the song took on a much deeper meaning. Loved "*+this guy's+*":http://www.youtube.com/user/ThickShag video so much - figured I toss the question into the *MOGosphere*...h1. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE T ????This T would +preferably+ be one you recieved *sans* purchase & *sans* gift - meaning you went the route of the song - what ex's shirt did you aquire that they didn't know about at the time... all else fails & you're a truly upstanding individual ;P then go with your favorite concert T... wuss ;)I got two: of my own cash - a dark olive green Frames T with a leaf on it... tree-hugger that I am - plus the green really brings out the color of my eyes ;)By shady means - my Helmet Meantime T - he got my TOOL hat - so I figure he got the better end of the deal anyway ...Dig deep people, show us your.... *Ts* ;)

  1. Dale says BTW, that was about 80 lbs ago, so it fits much nicer now.

  2. Dale says Being that I'm a fairly large male, it's a bit difficult to justify squeezing into a g/f's T, so that never really worked out. But, in the spirit of fair play, here's my favorite, the one I'm sweating through as we speak. This was my goal T, the one I wanted to fit properly. Behold, my Smiths Queen Is Dead T Melissa gave me for Christmas 2005. !http://images.whosyrdad.multiply.com/image/35/photos/5/1200x120/1/smiths_T.jpg?et=2YQllidiUTh0OkuggglASg!

  4. Dale says Umm, not sure how those comments got flipped. Argh. Oh, when I posted this on Multiply, I got this from the MOGiversary girl: *"Do it for Morrissey!"* She kills me, that Anna. I think I'll keep her.

This shirt says it all, about me. I love this shirt. Check out their website here http://www.eviltwincomics.com/action/index.php These guys are cool. My boys got a free sketch out of them at NYC Comicon '06. My second fave would be a pic of the Technics MK1 SL-1200 turntable. Don't have a pic of the shirt but here the unit none the less.

  9. The Serenity Vortex says I've had this one for years, and people always recognise the characters but have problems remembering their collective name. First one who gets it right, er......get's to bask in the glory of being right :)

  10. contrabandwidth says I went from a car plastered in stickers, band t-shirt wearing, hippie to logo free plain white (or other neutral color) t-shirt wearing, no band/political endorsement sticker pick up truck driving, person. I will say that as a hippy, I ??HATED?? tie dyes. But my favorite shirts were probably (actually, I still have it, but it's a "work shirt" now) Phish New Years Eve shirt from Madison Square Garden 95/96. I also have a Squirrel Nut Zippers shirt that I like, only because when ever I wear it people say, "oh yeah, I totally forgot about them - they were great!" I don't know, I don't like showing my allegiances on my chest anymore. But I will always try to buy an album for a band at a show, whenever possible.

  13. Lizziegreeneyes says *Floody:* Sweet shirt my brotha - I have a radiohead one that few people get... I also had a phish radish one that most people didn't recognize at first. Those Ts are way fun. *contradevilyou:* I hated tiedyes til I got one from my room mate - might be my all time fave t as the colors in it aren't typical & it has a star formation on the front. For Phish: I have 3... white ringer with blue sky cloud phish on front & division blue sky cloud on back... divided sky is a magical song for me... always; then there's my Gamehenge Ranger shirt - think I am hot shite in it - & anytime I see someone in it - there is a secret smile we swap; lastly - the first phish shirt I ever got - bootlegged - with Dr Seuss on the front - one fish two fish red fish GOLDFISH & on the back is Harpua & the words "I don't want a goldfish !!!" Dang I wish I could find that one...

  14. contrabandwidth says Ah yes, the bootleg t-shirt. How could I forget all the ones I had. Well, I have. But it was pretty much the tour staple. That and grill cheese, and veggie burritos. I think I had the standard "Antelope" sign, and of course the Phish logo. Lest we forget an MMW pea soup green T-shirt, and an official west coast tour shirt from 95 (Arizona), in which a guy I went to the show wiht got beat up and hospitalized by the lovely police at the venue. Such memories...

  15. Lizziegreeneyes says YOU rock Devil MAN !!!! My most bestest favoritest shirt - a *LEMON WHEEL STAFF* shirt - it was my friend's & got auctioned to the highest bidder - she clued me in that they would be doing it the last afternoon & that by that time - most of the kiddies would be piss poor... she was right & the shirt is mine :) !!! I had five or six classmates working the gig @ the LAFB - did you hit any of the summer threedayers ??? Can't go wrong with the antelope shirts though !!!

  16. contrabandwidth says From Clifford Ball to The Lemon Wheel and (all puns intended) my taste for the band's fans soon soured. I looked around at the garbage everywhere, people left friggin' couches! and thought, I do not want to be associated with these people anymore. That and a bad trip on mushrooms where I ran into my former high school math teacher, left me walking around the parking lot while Phish played ??Sabotage??. Granted my world view was warped, but all I could see was this tent ghetto, and people clamouring for drugs and such (ironic, isn't it?) and I just felt ill about humanity. I curled up in my tent and waited for the swirling shapes, smells, and noise to go away.

  17. Lizziegreeneyes says yeah - LW & Went were my two fests, I had a blast - the shows were insane - but I agree the fans truly got trashy... If I ever tripped & ran into a high school teacher - especially my math ones - I'd never come outta it - they'd have to commit me !!! If I ran into my art or shop teacher - whole other story - or my Poly Sci Prof - he'd probably see if I could hook him up & we'd sit the entire night & talk our heads off... the man used to grow the ganja outside his kitchen window... & he wondered why some of the girls & I wanted to take our free day in Brussells & head to Amsterdam... dang I miss the guy. Wish I had made it to the Ball - alas... not meant to be.

  18. contrabandwidth says Well, being as math illiterate as I am, he was an awesome math teacher. Perhaps is was because we could distract him and get him to tell us stories about his drinking days. Plus, he went to a Phish concert. How cool is that!

  19. Lizziegreeneyes says I would have been so stoked to run into the cool teachers/profs at a show... my buddies Tallpo & Echoesof are both teachers & anytime we go to a show together - we ALWAYS run into plenty of students who just love them - YO PO !!!! I hear it at least 6 times a show...

  20. contrabandwidth says Worst part is, I ate mushrooms like 20 min. before running into him and got..er...sick, shall we say, on my hand. When I ran into him, I was a little out of sorts and proceeded to shake his hand vigorously, while explaining to everyone around me what a great teacher he was. I think he was a little put off by the whole experience and made his way to his seat quickly. I have been reminded of this by my friends who were with me.

  21. Lizziegreeneyes says snowing - my birthday 1997 - spectrum. I drive Jau & myself to the show - we go nuts great time & on our way back out to the car I realize that I lost my set of keys... had to call then boyfriend to pick us up - 45 minute drive for him - it's 1am (we kept looking) & it's snowing. Needless to say - the relationship didn't last too long after that - but it makes for a great story - two kids searching for keys to a car while snowing... though I am guessing it happens at phish shows a lot more than say - a Zamphyr concert.

  31. Lizziegreeneyes says Weird Science quote - there's also something about no wax on the nipples - but I couldn't remember that part exactly... lemme check.... Here's the full quote... *"You know, there's going to be sex, drugs, rock-n-roll... chips, dips, chains, whips... You know, your basic high school orgy type of thing. I mean, uh, I'm not talking candlewax on the nipples, or witchcraft or anything like that, no, no, no. Just a couple of hundred kids running around in their underwear, acting like complete animals."* *Flood:* you couldn't get on my bad side if you tried - even when you call into question my intelligence ;)
