There's this album that I've got tied really tight to my memory. The first memory is coming home late one night with a bunch of friends after a night out. Buzzed, happy I got a ride home, and very tired, the music was perfect. In the darkened car, we sat, each pondering the locked up homes and stores we passed. The Black Angel's Passover release is the absolute best music for a slow-motion pre-fight movie scene. It's got all the grit, grime and dark, heavy sounds necessary for the man in white and the man in black to sneer, snarl and stare each other down before a big showdown. Now, I listen to it on my 15 minute walk to work from the subway. It's music to make you invincible.
