Larger than Lifesize we become...great in the eyes of Someone

So while I made my first post of Alison of A Fine Frenzy, I really can't get over how overwhelmingly talented this young lady is. You know when you listen to an artist, maybe this is my songwriter hopes and dreams coming out and I'm completely along on this, but you actually wish YOU were clever enough to come up with that writing? that you were that great at piano? that you could sing like that? basically...be her?:) I admire her entire musicianship as a whole and she is an amazing artist. The lyrics are absolutely stunning and I'll post some below for some reading pleasure :) She learned to play piano on her own and when she writes, pulls from stories from her favorite authors. I have grown a huge love this approach to writing, i love that the music brings an already told story to life with whimsical melodies and brings you to use your imagination :) Colin Meloy also used this technique with their latest album The Crane Wife :)

While yes, I do have to put a warning on this album, if your not depressed...get ready cause your gonna be! Its by far the saddest record I've heard in a long time, after listening to "Near to You" and "Almost Lover", but its absolutely amazing how incredibly inspired it can make you feel upon finishing the album.

For the sake of it being only Wednesday of the week, I certainly don't want to leave up a depressing track haha, so i'll put up one of the happier lighter melodies of the album and leave you to check out her myspace page www.myspace.com/afinefrenzy to check out her other tracks on your own time ;) I'm going to post "Near to You" though after this because it really shows off her vocal abilities and cause I love it :)
