Essential Listening Vol 12

Out of all of them, this really could be my favorite. Soul meets country meets pop meets rock n roll.

  2. Rawkkiddoh says great choice, even better are the two ep's they put out from this record, I found them at a local record store, and they only have 3 songs each. Different versions of some on the album, and some new stuff. Love those two cd's

  3. Lester Jonze says I missed the Bonnaroo set. Haven't heard the ep's either, not a big ep/unreleased/bonus content guy, Somehow I think that's what box sets are for. I bet Wilco could put together a great box set though, that would be too cool!

  4. contrabandwidth says Hey Lester, we are like psychically connected tonight! This is by far my favorite Wilco Album. None of them have ever held up to this. It's both extremely poppy and sad, it reminds me so much of Pet Sounds, I could just listen to it over and over. All the hpe behind Yankee Hotel... and I was like, but what about "Summerteeth"? Man, I love this album. It goes next to The Jayhawks "Tomorrow The Green Grass" in most under rated albums of all time.

  5. jameson says Haunting lyrics, compined with Tweedy's imagery make this an amazing, amazing song. _Summerteeth_ in general is an overwhelming triumph. While _YHF_ was my introduction to Wilco in 2002 (and blew me away), their previous effort stands as a more solid, listenable record. So very good.
