  19. summer eyes says 1. gwen stefani. 2. black eyed peas. 3. weezer 4. kanye west 5. (this is so very sad, i cant believe im admitting to listening to it) high school musical. the first two i went to see in concert, and wow, they must REALLY edit their voices on their cds. much more than you would think. the rest i bought a couple of songs from iTunes off when they were popular. no comment on the high school musical thing, i really could never explain that one.

  20. Cody B says There are definitely some of these for me, but I'm gonna reserve judgement, aw hell Gnarls Barkley Tower of Power-Oakland Zone Bobby Patterson Ted Taylor Candi Staton (the albums fine, but I didn't know it was copy protected)

  21. ivylander says Here are three: 1. The Sleepy Jackson 2. Virginia Rodrigues 3. The Hold Steady I know I'm gonna get some shit for the last one, but I still suspect they're a better proposition live than on record. And Lester, please reconsider Judee Sill. I loved her two albums when they came out in the Seventies, and upon hearing them again recently I didn't feel they have been at all diminished by time. However, I do think you have to be in a certain frame of mind before you really feel 'em.....

  22. darmuzz says Matchbox 20. Staind. Ooh, soulrocket, did I hear you say Nirvana? (I am one of the few people who can take 'em or leave 'em.)

DMB *&* Eminem, you know how to crush a girl don't you ... I don't think I can speak to you for a while .... I need some space to heal .... Ok, I'm over it ;) (& that was all the first mix was - DMB, Eminem. Lifehouse ... & the other two you mentioned ;) )

  24. Anna says "Death Cab for Anna in the front row of Modest Mouse concert getting blood splattered all over her brand new Decemberists Tshirt" this is the worst possible reality I can imagine. You are pure evil.

  25. mktackabery says 1. U2 post Achtung for me too (ick. The Fly put the nail in the coffin) 2. Second Modest Mouse - sorry, don't get it. 3. Velvet Revolver - let's just say, I'll admit to buying it because the single gave me hope, and leave it at that. 4. Sezen Aksu - two or three great Turkish singles does not a great Turkish pop album make; let's just say she's the Christina Aguilera of Turkey. Lesson learned, let's move on. 5. Little Brother - someone stop me the next time a cute ballplayer recommends a rap artist to me. I mean it.

  31. ivylander says Sorry, Lester, not until last night, when I got home and saw the picture that appeared on your last comment did I realize what was going on. For whatever reason, my work site blocked the picture, so all that showed up was a period (as in punctuation mark).
