Posted over 2 years ago
Happy Mondays have announced plans for a full comeback, including live dates and their first new album in over 15 years. The Madchester legends are understood to have recently signed a label deal with Sanctuary Records and are nearing completion on a follow-up to 1992's "Yes Please".Shaun Ryder confirmed the news earlier this week, explaining that Howie B and Sonny Levine - Quincy Jones' grandson - are helping to produce the LP.Ryder claims the new record, which is due out in the summer, sounds "fresher" than the group's landmark 1990 recording "Pills 'n' Thrills And Bellyaches".He told the NME: "I'm not the world's best salesman, me...I'm not a salesman at all. I think it's a really great album."After their appearance at the Coachella Festival in May, Happy Mondays play the following shows:May 200722 Inverness Ironworks23 Aberdeen Music Hall25 Sheffield Leadmill26 Middlesbrough Town Hall27 Hull University29 Cambridge Junction30 Northampton Roadmender31 Preston 53 DegreesJune01 Dudley JB'sJuly08 Manchester Ritz
