WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Radiohead...

...twisted my head around about 420 degrees back in the day. The first one I got was, um, the first one, but not until about mid 1997, ev en after _OK Computer_ came out. I don't even remember what made me buy it, I think I just saw it in a used cd store and I grabbed it because it was probably like, four dollars or something. Anyway, to me, they're in the top ten all time. But I haven't listened to them with any regularity in several years. Dumb. Well, maybe there's just too much music to listen to. Sometimes this is true. But words don't describe how much these guys mean to me. Maybe some vids will help. Oh yeah, thanks to "rwey04":http://mog.com/rweyh04. For posting _Fake Plastic Trees_, even if it's _not_ the best Radiohead song out there. And thanks to him for helping me think of Radiohead again (like someone could really forget?!?)And if you watch any of these videos, please watch this one. This is a true story. A long time ago, I lived in Miami, and we were friends with a married couple with two very young children. They had a lot of problems, and they were going to get divorced, she wasn't being faithful. She went on vacation with the children and told him as such, and she wanted him gone when she returned. Two weeks later, she comes back and finds what's left of his body in the garage locked up with the car which had been running so long it had ran out of gas. He had an empty bottle of liquor, his life insurance policy, and pictures of his children lined up on the dashboard of the car. It was August. You could smell the death when you turned the corner to his street. I don't remember a lot of that day. The first music I listened to later that night was _Climbing up the Walls_, all I could picture through tears while listening to Thom Yorke scream at the end of the song was the pain this man's spirit felt as his life slipped away from him to a desolate horrible Hell he would never have to escape from again. It was months before I could listen to that song. Even now nine years later, my hands tremble while I write. So please, for him, watch this video, and if you have children, think of them.Sorry, didn't mean to fuck up anyone's day, I'm gonna go throw up now.
