WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

My Contribution to the Current Sub Pop Obsession

I got this at "CD World":http://yellowpages.aol.com/arts-and-entertainment/record-stores/nj/parsippany/ in Parsippany,NJ in the summer of 99 or 2000.I got it because I saw it in the used rack for like, two bucks or something. I was thinking I hadn't heard anything out of them in a few years (I was on a large electronica kick back during the turn of the century) And, remembering the grunge of my youth, quickly picked it up.I kicked it a few times, spun it round and round, but in those days, if it wasn't "Solid State":http://radio.about.com/od/specialtystreams/a/aa041005a.htm, I wasn't into it.It's good though, I like it, it has a strong tracklist, 1 Last One in the World Mark Lanegan 4:22 2 Overcome by Happiness Pernice Brothers 3:41 3 Greetings from the Sugar Lick Spinanes 4:18 4 Les Lendmains Qui Chantent Les Thugs 2:30 5 House of Secrets Ireland, Mike & Holler 4:06 6 Reach Vs. 3. 1234chainsaw says Les Thugs (French punk rock) and Murder City Devils are excellent bands both. Also top selections from the only record Pernice Brothers did for Sub Pop. The inclusion of Lanegan is always plus. I also like the front cover. You got a good deal.
