WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Hmmmm.

Isn't it nice how we are able to sit in our warm homes at the onset of the holiday season here in the greatest country in the world? Isn't it just nice we are far from Iraq where this month well over 100 troops have been killed. And isn't it just nice that our fearless leader would rather spend his time attacking former political opponents rather than figuring out how to casually slip out of this worsening civil war and bring our sons and daughters home where they belong? History certainly is cyclicalCome you masters of warYou that build all the gunsYou that build the death planesYou that build all the bombsYou that hide behind wallsYou that hide behind desksI just want you to knowI can see through your masks. You that never done nothin'But build to destroyYou play with my worldLike it's your little toyYou put a gun in my handAnd you hide from my eyesAnd you turn and run fartherWhen the fast bullets fly.Like Judas of oldYou lie and deceiveA world war can be wonYou want me to believeBut I see through your eyesAnd I see through your brainLike I see through the waterThat runs down my drain. You fasten all the triggersFor the others to fireThen you set back and watchWhen the death count gets higherYou hide in your mansion'As young people's bloodFlows out of their bodiesAnd is buried in the mud. You've thrown the worst fearThat can ever be hurledFear to bring childrenInto the worldFor threatening my babyUnborn and unnamedYou ain't worth the bloodThat runs in your veins. How much do I knowTo talk out of turnYou might say that I'm youngYou might say I'm unlearnedBut there's one thing I knowThough I'm younger than youThat even Jesus would neverForgive what you do.Let me ask you one questionIs your money that goodWill it buy you forgivenessDo you think that it couldI think you will findWhen your death takes its tollAll the money you madeWill never buy back your soul. And I hope that you dieAnd your death'll come soonI will follow your casketIn the pale afternoonAnd I'll watch while you're loweredDown to your deathbedAnd I'll stand over your grave'Til I'm sure that you're dead.don't forget to vote next Tuesday. Just think if this were 1966 instead of 2006 maybe we all would be talking about the war while the music just ran quietly in the background noticed by only a select few rather than the vice versa of today. Is this where we are headed?

  2. Lester Jonze says please with that. So all the Shiites and Sunnis are going to get tired of killing each other and come over here with dynamite strapped to their kids foreheads? Iraq now is more about religious _civil_ war rather than Idealistic terrorism aimed towards western Christianity.

  3. deadmandeadman says So.......We leave Iraq to Iran? Listen, some guy is sitting there, on the other side of a football field, building a high powered rifle, hr keeps lookin' over t'me, t'tell me "as soon as i'm finished i'm gonna blow you away"......He AIN"T gonna finish!!!!! I'm NOT some right wing nut, nor a fool. I know that things are a mess over there. An' we are part of the problem, insofar as we have not flexed our might enough. I was once trapped n a political war! its not fun. BUT>>>i know A LOT of people over there in our VOLUNTEER AREMED FORCES, they ALL agree, the duty sucks, but THEY have seen what we have not......and MOST believe 1000% in the mission. Watch as various states try various means t'disqualify absentee MILITARY ballots!!! WHY?

  4. Lester Jonze says At some point, though, we will leave, and Iran will always be there. We should worry more about them. Their leader is certifiable.

  5. SamTheButcher says I'm just sayin.... I know 2 people who have been over there. One's a lifer in the Coast Guard, the other's flies fighter jets for the AF. Both of them say we have no business being over there. Just sayin'.

  6. deadmandeadman says To be sure....but its hard to fight a war in this day n age....its frightening t'think...but quite possibly true that modern western civ has lost its ability to wage a war. Three major networks trumpet each failure....each fatality with a glee that's only matched by those certifiable loonys. Yes, Iran is now that clown building his rifle.....How much support would there be among the hoopleheads if W announced a unilateral invasion? Don't get me wrong, I hope he doesn't.......I hope the rest of the civilized world beyond ENGLAND, AUSTRALIA, And POLAND would join in. OSAMA BIN LATELY(?) told his followers that the great satan will turn an' run if you bloody him a little. An' that's been true now since Viet Nam. Man, we gotta stand fer somethin'

  7. Lester Jonze says NO business. We destabilized a region without thinking what would happen when we did. Now we're trapped in urban warfare with an enemy who loves nothing more than to die for their ideal. Even though they're more interested in killing each other, we, at this point are just in the way so they now have a common target, Americans. They want us gone. They just keep coming and coming, it will never end until they have forced us to leave, and then who knows what will happen. The president thinks we are so naive as to believe this is all still about terrorism and 9-11 and being safe. We will never be safe again, no matter how many different countries we invade. I would say Iran could have been next if the president had kept his poll numbers up.

  8. Lester Jonze says Ok great lets stand for pushing our ideals on a country who doesn't really want them. Sounds a bit like imperialism to me.

  9. deadmandeadman says samthebutcher: yeah, i hear that too....But my friends n buddys say we have no business over there because their not ALLOWED T"DO WHAT NEEDS BE DONE!! AN" EVERY THING THEY DO IS SECOND GUESSED BY ARMCHAIR GENERALS AND SPRAYED HAIRED HOOPLEHEADS> The American press will publish the most outlandish stories, believing anything ANTI-AMERICAN that's said over there. So yeah....we should bring 'em all home, we'll wait for the next attack, an' then we'll lash out again. MOST PEOPLE DON"T DO WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN< THET DO WHAT'S MOST CONVENIENT N THEN THEY REPENT

  10. Lester Jonze says The press will always do that it's their job. Your viewpoint has to allow you to look past the liberal slant 99% of the media puts on everything. So- what we just go in and nuke em? Is that what you're saying we need to do? Have done with it that way then , eh?

  11. deadmandeadman says peace brother! i don't wanna nuke anyone, anywhere, anytime!!!!! But honestly....WE destabilized the region? WE DID? C'MON! Listen, we watch the news an' we think every iraqi is an islamist/radical/bloodthirsty/anti-american terrorist. But most of them are religious like i am (I think i'm a christian on some ole piece of paper somewhere, an' i can tell a church from a barroom 4 outta 7 times) . but mostly they're just folks who wanna live in peace WITHOUT RELIGIOUS POLICE. They cannot support america 'cause history tells them, an' hillary tells them that america's gonna leave the loonys in charge....they cannot afford t'be on the wrong side once we leave. Ask the Hmong if ya don't b'lieve me. but listen lesterjonze, don't get angry. politics/football/music my passions.

  12. Lester Jonze says who destabilized the region then, if it wasn't us? who?
    Permalink posted 10/31/2006
  13. deadmandeadman says When was it stable? rock the casbah/ rock the casbah . Listen, i don't have the answers nor do you.. But i do know that our system of government relys on having an informed electorate. It is our DUTY as citizens to educate ourselves on important issues...........but the political atmosphere has become so toxic that more n more people are tuning out......an' then they're gonna vote. i'm done fer t'night....good talkin' with ya,

  14. SamTheButcher says Well, these guys, one is friend, one is family, they say we have no business being there because Iraq isn't/wasn't part of the problem, and that there's not a war to be won. I think they both agree we should be in Afghanistan, but not Iraq.

  15. damianmannn says hahaha...liberal media slant. Maybe when there was three stations. Now we have Fox, CNN (mini-me Fox) and Rush, Hannity, Coulter....etc. The media were slanted TOWARDS the war rather than the other.
