So the fateful battle returns once again... Bonnaroo with its big muscles, and sleek looks, and Sasquatch; humble and loving, shy and demure, hidden away in the northwest... Last year Sasquatch won over bonnaroos amazing line up which painfully included radiohead... and this year the choice is just as tough, with one exception... Bonnaroo while still the power house, is missing two key ingriedients which Sasquatch has - Bjork, and The Arcade Fire....
So Bonnaroo... 3 days in the tennesee valley, amongst fake hippies, zoned out druggies, drunk wiggers on X, 80,000 tents, beautiful humidity and an amazing line up which includes:
The Police The White Stripes Wilco The Flaming Lips Manu Chao Franz Ferdinand Decemberists Kings of Leon DJ shadow Spoon Hold Steady Feist Hot Chip Girl Talk Martha Wainright Annuals Sam Roberts Apollo Sunshine The National
DAMN.... Oh ya, and they have a comedy tent which includes; Lewis Black, Dave Attel, and the amazing David Cross...
Or Sasquatch, tucked away in the crevices of the beautiful North West U.S., Amazing weather, beautiful scenery, and amazing vantage points to see the stages from almost any position you stand, less people, mostly canadians really friendly folks... (Dave was kinda creepy... He would just get bored at like midnight and walk around with miller light eh), two days insted of three grueling days... and a lineup which includes....
Bjork The Arcade Fire Manu Chao Neko Case Hold Steady Grizzly Bear Loney, Dear The Blow Interpol Spoon Mirah Tokyo Police Club Smoosh Helio Sequence Minus the bear
Not as magnificent, but some great acts which I believe gives it an if not equal very close nutritional value....
Someone please help me make my decision!!!!
1st post. Here goes, Riding in the wake of artists like Sufjan Stevens, Page France delivers a "non secular" album that is full of simple catchy chord progressions and hooks that are sure to make the listener give them a few plays. What I like about Hello, Dear Wind Is the Lyrical precision it displays. In contrast to most Christian artists, Page France much like Sufjan writes in a beautifully subtle manner, getting the same message across that most Christian artists attempt by using a repetitive and predictable vernacular. Chariot the song posted begins with a nice clean acoustic riff and is slowly joined by the rest of the band while the lyrics are being cast over the music painting a beautiful picture of a unvengeful and forgiving savior that is coming back to dance and sing with his creatures. Definately shouldn't be type casted as just another Christian band, give them a listen and a chance.

i think sasquatch wins again. just the fake hippies, zoned out druggies, drunk wiggers on X, and the humidity are enough to keep me away from bonnaroo. then again, i also live in the middle of tennessee so maybe im just tainted with the fantasy of getting away from this god forsaken state.
I think it depends on which one has the most groups you want to see. That's how I'd go about it :)
no anna, trust me the fake hippies and x-ridden "thugs" really make this an easy choice... especially when canadians are the other option... most canadians are pretty cool, most bonnaroobians are fake ass junkie morons. i guess that is just my oppinion. i know a lot of really cool people who go to bonnaroo each year and they all tell me horror stories of morons that they ended up meeting and having to interact with. every year i try to get out of tennessee during bonnaroo.
