Southern Hospitality

Posted about 1 year ago

The southern hip-hop scene has been getting a bad rap for years. I'll be the first to admit that their is an overabundance of generic rap about flossin/pimpin generally acting an ass, but theres more to the south than Paul Wall and Mike "How many times can I say my name in 5 minutes" Jones, trust me. From the abstract rhymes of Outkast to the lowkey melodies of Devin The Dude, the bottom of the map packs more variety than most people give credit for.

I'll start you off slow for this first entry with a sobering look into the life of those once famous, now forgotten, from houstons own Devin The Dude.
