She Is a Holy Grail

Posted over 5 years ago
Right now, I'm listening to a Superdrag CD. I don't know why I waited this long to get it - for almost 10 years, I subsisted on a dinky cassette tape. It's ancient and I liked that about it. It was my first exposure and I couldn't give it up. That cassette, man. I listened to it so many times the tape literally broke inside. I could hear the music of "She is a Holy Grail" in my dreams, the thinkle of the piano keys lleading me to my Wonderland. I think about how my friend and I would listen, sitting on the floor in my bedroom. We were 15 years old and didn't dare sit on or near the bed - the music was too...special for that. If we had been alive for the 70s, I think we would've sat on bean bag chairs; but this was 1998 and we sat on my green and pink-flowered carpet, noddings our heads to the music in approval.

  1. Justin Newell says I gotta say that I DIG "She Is A Holy Grail." I think it was the one song that had the biggest aftereffect on me the first time I heard "Head Trip in Every Key." Great album!

  2. boscojim says I really like this album myself. It has been more than seven years since I last heard this album, but I'm very happy I came across MOG.com and it has made it very easy for me to find albums from the past that bring back lots of memories and nostalgia sets in. I would have never heard of Superdrag had it not been for my younger brother Juan Luis who read a good review about it somewhere and bought it. I remember listening to this album time and time again along with Smashmouth and Weezer and Nirvana. Those days were something. Like the vampire song says...dead on the inside. We don't want to know what's really going on. I'm listening to it right now actually. Cheers!
