Scrubs

Posted over 3 years ago
I was watching one of those reruns of "Scrubs" on Comedy Central a week or two ago and I heard Colin Hay's "Overkill," which I hadn't heard in a really long time. I literally could not get the song out of my head after that. For days. I love that the guy who sang "Land Down Under" still has really good solo career these days. I love finding out little trivia bits and pieces like that - that so-and-so was a member of such-and-such-a-band in the 80s but is now doing his own thing. He has an amazing voice, one of those that I can pick out anywhere. After taking a look at the "Scrubs" soundtrack on Amazon.com, I'm seriously considering picking it up - it has all those really cool indie-licious songs and a few better-known ones.

  1. SWozniak says Scrubs is the best comedy (not named Arrested Development) since M*A*S*H (I'm not that old, I just watched the reruns with my dad a lot as a kid).

  3. SWozniak says Amen. And the last episode starring Brendan Fraser in Season 3? A tearjerker.

  4. LaurseyP says It's even better when they really get out their acting chops and do things like that.

  5. FastRMacR says *Great* show _Scrubs_ - I too caught that episode and went on a whirlwind to rediscover this man. In fact I just saw him last night here - incredible show. He's a seriously funny and real Scotsman, and his voice is just as wonderful as it ever was. Very good new tunes and support of all the M@W best. If you seek that acoustic "Overkill" and his sound - check out a great album called "_Man At Work_":http://www.amazon.com/Man-at-Work-Colin-Hay/dp/B00009Y3OF/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2365227-0649624?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1186362094&sr=1-1
