Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Jacob Smigel. This kid is something special. When I first discovered his music, he was living and working in Las Vegas. Today, he's in New Mexico, taking a hiatus from making music in order to go to medical school.
This dude is soulful. An excellent storyteller and musician, Jacob Smigel combines the beauty of an acoustic guitar and the awkwardness of a kazoo and a child's drum set.
This is what music should be. It's beautiful, often funny but most importantly, honest. Look for his music to show up on iTunes soon. "New Mexico" combines music with some spoken word. His previous albums "Full Grown and Talking about Fountains" and "Animal Diseases" are strictly music.
