Economically Sensible Gratis Music Monday -- Listen to yr Momma
Hey Mog-a-nauts!
These be tight economic times, so when a freebie comes around, it makes good fiscal sense to nab it. The folks over at the ever-chatty tech and social media blog, Mashable, are back to offering their "Free Music Mondays."
It's a mixed musical bag, but features a MOG favorite - Irish dance-pop chanteuse, Róisín Murphy, with a snappy lil' number from her new EP: Momma's Place.
Apparently, it's a letter to her child while it was still in utero (as they say). She explains it in this video:
I just kinda love that she's got a Paul Stanley KISS doll on the bookshelf behind her. :-)

It sounds good. Maybe you can answer a question I have about this new rock music that youngsters have been listening to for some time now. So much of it sounds as if it could have been recorded, like, forty years ago, and it almost never has a swinging beat like this cool Roisin Murphy, but instead it has a lot of strumming. Am I out of it, or what?
I really like this. And you didn't mention that Róisín Murphy was the singer of Moloko. Had to find out about that myself - bad, bad, bad ;).
