"Small-doses" bands - any suggestions?

Hiya moggers, this is my first post, so be gentle with me...I've only discovered this place recently, and overall I'm liking it, in the sense that it's nice to be able to find new music and hunt down random musical directions with more of a "human" element than stuff like Last.fm or Pandora.I have a couple of niggles with the "Mogs like me" engine, based on some of the paths it's led me down, but I guess it's still being tweaked and polished - in general it seems to work ok, and it's always interesting to find other people whose tastes are even more eclectic than mine.Which brings me to my question - someone looking at my "10 most recently played" list in the last few days might conclude that I'm a huge Curve nut and listen to nothing else, which could hardly be further from the truth. I like them and all, but the reason I'm listening to so much is that I'm trying to streamline my main HD and want to archive as much stuff as possible that I *know* I won't be in a hurry to listen to again anytime soon. And for me, Curve are one of "those" bands - if you haven't listened to them in a while, you're glad you decided to, but soon their sound becomes a bit monotonous and repetitive, so out of maybe 6 or 7 albums you might cobble together one audio CD compilation's worth of their "good" songs. So the question I'll pose to my fellow mog-ites is: what band(s) would you put into this category? Bearing in mind it should be a band that you *do* actually "like", just not necessarily in saturation...reasons for your choice, qualifiers, etc are of course welcome.
