Long time no MOG

Posted about 4 years ago
Wow, this is in fact my first post of this year, can you believe it?My excuse for the last couple of months is that I've had very little internet access, and that was mostly dial-up anyway, which is frankly worse than nothing when it comes to MOG stuff. Before that, it was mostly just laziness though. :PI have however been sporadically keeping up with the MOG world, and the antics of my trusted MOGGERS, and I do hope to get back into it a bit more...hmm, where have I heard myself saying that before, about pretty much everything in my life...? Sigh.Speaking of which, I notice I have a new visitor to my little corner of MOG-land - hello Hopper, feel free to "formally" introduce yourself... ;)Anyway, yes, music...now that I've got broadband again I've been finally getting around to plugging the non-digital gaps in my collection and replacing my old stuff on tapes with CDs and mp3s etc, so here's a blast from the past, courtesy of the Wonder Stuff.P.S. I might have asked this before, but does anyone have suggestions for getting rid of a couple of hundred old audio cassettes, other than just binning them?I've been leaving them in twos and threes on buses and in phone boxes and other public places in the hopes that *somebody* who still uses tapes will find and appreciate them (as nobody I know personally still does), but it'd break my heart to just throw them away. Any suggestions?

  1. vannatta says As you said, almost no one has a cassette deck anymore so leaving them around town is the same as littering, someone else will find it and throw it away - or worse it will just stay there. I would recycle them ... paper inserts in the paper bin, cassette and jacket in the plastic bin...
