SOUNDS OF FUTURE PAST AND PRESENT PERFECT

Prog Rock

Posted over 3 years ago
The other day I d/l'd a torrent called 79 Essential Progressive Rock Albums. I have not heard of 1/3 of these bands but I remember my Uncle talking about Van Der Graaf Generator. Not sure if it was positive or negative but I feel really positive about the albums Still Life and Pawn Hearts. Brilliant! Just Brilliant! I guess there was more to Prog Rock than Pink Floyd, Moody Blues and Rush. Looking forward to listening to Gentle Giant tonight.Mike

  1. Kate says Yeah, Van Der Graaf is pretty rad. If you can find them, in the past couple of years Mojo magazine has published some great articles about the history of the band.
