I'm late this year, in terms of planning who and what to check out next week at SXSW. But my site Download Music just threw together a feature highlighting some bands playing there next week. Check it out if you're curious. There's a couple of playlists you can stream, with songs by REM, Ice Cube, Cassettes Won't Listen, Sia, Nada Surf....etc. etc.

I saw in my weekly Mog report that Dave Gleason made my "song of the week." How those stats are calculated is always a mystery (hello, most played, Jay-Z? Um, sorry, but not exactly). I got to not only see William Bell perform at South by Southwest this year, but got to meet him as well. Super nice guy. This song of his kills me every time.
