MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Tonight I am DJing at the Windmill in Brixton for John Vanderslice.

I think the Windmill is going to be the most awesome venue to see him. North of the river can get fucked. Don't the cool kids know that everything worth going to is south south SOUTH?

Anyway, for those of you who don't know John, he is all kinda of awesomeness.

From Wikipedia "Vanderslice was a contributing producer on the Spoon album, Gimme Fiction, and has collaborated and toured with The Mountain Goats. He also produced The Mountain Goats' albums Heretic Pride and We Shall All Be Healed. He is influenced by film and is a fan of David Lynch, whose work is referenced in his song "Promising Actress". His declared musical influences are diverse, ranging from Neutral Milk Hotel to Public Enemy. He has incorporated the poetry of William Blake, Percy Shelley and Robert Lowell into his music. In addition, Vanderslice is an avid photography hobbyist."

Though to be fair, all the descriptors that I use to describe him make him sound like one of those musicians I hate, he is actually fairly brilliant.

There are still a few tickets left from when I last checked.

And if you have never been to the Windmill, now is a good time to start.
