WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

i sit in front of a computer all day

i sit in front of this computer all day, and practically use mog as a messenger, i say practically because it's usually minimized and i just refresh the mogosphere, there are a few consistently good moggers out there who really make my work day FLY BY, but i can't help but to wonder what other people do for a living, i mean, we must all be unemployed or work in an office enviroment right? anyway, this is the only way to feed my need, we are no long allowed to listen to music/the radio and it kills me. i remember at my old job i would average (including my time in the car and at home) about 10 hours of music a day, now...not so much. so when i do get a chance to geek out late at night and try to recall all the cool mogs i read i get so excited and focus solely on the music, it's not just the background to most of my day, and i suppose that can be a good thing.but i still like to listen to rjd2 when im cleaning and/or doing something else. it get's me pumped and makes me feel groovy.

  1. max says mog and rjd2 as the background to most of the day sounds nice, 10 hours of music a day is crazy, i mean i get a lot in, but hmm, definetely not close to that

  3. TmTx says I feel ya! My company allowed streaming up until a year or so ago then IT got their undies in a bunch about "bandwidth issues" and killed the capability. Funny that they cited bandwidth costs when, while I'm sure aren't low, aren't as expensive as they'd have us drones believe. So, now, I just take gigs of music in on DVD and play my tunes through my computer. I do miss though being able to listen to my chill out streams while staring at a monitor all day though. 8-10 hour days go by pretty fast when you've got your groove on.

  4. fiercek says i'm finishing up a grad program so i use mog to procrastinate from doing my big project . when i teach though, i don't get to listen to music much and it drives me crazy ! i do sometimes play music for my students while they write in journals, but then they complain when i don't put james blunt on my mixes :oP my cleaning music is sufjan...i don't really know why

  5. eshep says i work from home, which is awesome for listening to music. i have a room that is dedicated as an office, and i, like you, sit there in front of a computer for 8-10 hours a day. sedentary as they get. i work in music/content licensing and programming for wireless carriers, so you can blame me anytime you hear 'laffy taffy' blaring from teenager's phone at the movies. but yeah, it's kind of lonely working in a silo, but i am a person who is very content and comfortable in my day-time solitude, so the lack of social interactive during the day is not so bad. the listening to music aspect more than makes up for it. and not having idiots come to your cube to tell you about their casserole. plus, mog makes for a great watercooler, i guess.
