In view of the recent reissues of the back catalog of Joy Division, as well as Anton Corbijn's new Ian Curtis biopic, Control...here's my obligatory JD track for the day. Taken off the rare vinyl compilation, A Factory Sample.
Do the jerky dance once more...

Did you see "Control" yet? The music, including the vocals is recreated with unnerving accuracy,,They really did do a fantastic job.
Your "BlackGrape" profile pic has got to be one of THE best ever...
"Move On Up" has got to be one of Curtis Mayfield's most famous tracks. The uplifting vibe & the irresistible groove has made it one of the classic anthems of the Northern Soul scene. You can always bank on this song to usher in smiles & cheers from the dancefloor every time it's dropped in the set...
Here's the song gets a Eric Kupper remix (taken off the Mayfield: Remixed album). Honestly, there's nothing much you can add on to the original but Kupper's mix does make it more dancey. A cool track for this coming Saturday nite out!

How is that whole record? I've usually shy away from remixes of old tunes, but Mr.Kupper doesn't seem to mess with it too much, just housing it up a bit...Does that sound like the Curtis vocal?
I like the list of producers/remixers for sure. Thanks
BTW, soulrocket and yours truly have been trying to post some disco on Friday nights..more tunes like this would work in that context fo sure.
