A.R. Kane was one half of M/A/R/R/S (together with Colourbox), the team behind the legendary sampledelic dance single, "Pump Up The Volume". On their own, the sound is of a different beast altogether, mixing dub & guitar noise into one weird stew. Imagine Cocteau Twins meets King Tubby with a dash of The Jesus & Mary Chain & you'll probably get a pic on how A.R. Kane sounds like."When You're Sad" is one of their earlier singles, & included here is the rare long version. They don't make music like these anymore, no?
