It's 6:30 a.m.I plug my iPod in to update with the latest tracks added to my collection.I get the message "iTunes has detected a corrupt iPod. Restore your iPod to repair the fault."Which means I have to wipe my iPod and reload EVERYthing. It's an 80 GB iPod. I have 13,000 tracks. This could take a long time.

  3. Violet Grey says Could be worse. It could have said your iPod was non functional and you'd have to go get a new one. Always a silver lining somewhere.

  4. KezOnTour says Ah, but if I had to replace it, it;d be under warranty, so the replacement is free, and although I'd still have to load everything back on, I'd have got a new shiny scratch free pod. KezOnTour. Finding the rust on silver linings everywhere.

  9. lemontwist says Dude yeah, I had like 5000 tracks to put on to the new iPod we just got and it took at least an hour.

  10. KezOnTour says all in all, it took 4 hours and 30 minutes. A lot of the stuff I have is from live recordings which are HUGE files, and tend to be in lossless format also. It's all done now, and I could lie in bed, listening to Deerhoof.
