All Aboard Ships & Dips V with Sarah & the Ladies

Just received a Nettwerk press release in my e-mail, the highlight of which is this fun news:

We are thrilled to announce that Sarah McLachlan will be co-headlining Ships and Dip V, the third annual music cruise hosted by headliners Barenaked Ladies, featuring Great Big Sea, The Weakerthans, Gaelic Storm, Sloan and more than a dozen other artists and comedians. The cruise will set sail from Miami, FL on February 1, 2009, on the Norwegian Jewel, with stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Norwegian Cruise Line's private island Great Stirrup Cay, returning on February 6, 2009.

That sounds pretty damn cool. If I liked interacting with real live people, I would enjoy that.

I've seen BNL a few times already and I saw Sarah on the first Lilith Fair tour. The two together would be pretty damn nifty. The side acts also come from across Canada. Some people stateside may not know them but they are worth checking out. Living on the border, I am familiar with them all.

I still maintain a crush on Sarah since her very first album came out. Would it be gauche to propose to her on the cruise? Yeah, I guess it would be. I'd definitely wait until we were at dinner back on land.
