We Were Enchanted

My friend Kenny Reed directed this video for the title track of our 2nd album (out April 15!)I think it came out wonderfully, I hope you enjoy it.
Roommate - We Were Enchanted from Roommate on Vimeo.Hmmm, the embed seems to be working in Safari but not Firefox. Here's the link to the piece on vimeo, where you can see it in full HD splendor:vimeo.com/815815

  2. Kent Lambert says Not really an uploading problem--it seems that on certain browsers MOG doesn't recognize the embed code from vimeo... but if you go the above link you can see the piece in 1280 x 720 resolution which may be preferable to seeing it all tiny-like here...

  3. Pyro says One more problem is added on the bug-list of MOG... Can u upload this video on utube or smth?

  4. Kent Lambert says The video is almost 9 minutes long, and in spite of some serious time spent working on the compression, it looks like garbage on YouTube. So until they improve their compression I'm not going to put it up there. I've never heard of smth, can you send me a link to it?

  5. Pyro says By 'smth' i mean 'something'...bad chat slang. ^^ I don't know any other video uploader, but i guess if u find any, it will comrpess your video such as utube. Try again tomorrow, dunno. :S

  6. Kent Lambert says Ha ha, apparently I need to work on my chat slang. Yeah, vimeo is the best site I know of for sharing videos--it does some compression, but nowhere near as brutal as YouTube. It seems to be catching on--I'm seeing more and more vimeo clips on Pitchfork and the like.

  7. Spike says The video's look is stunning. Is Reed a fan of underground films from the sixties? Why can't more music videos get away, as this one has, from the stereotypical exhausting random fast-cutting between adolescent fantasy imagery?

  8. jenny says Did you hear I'm doing this for PM? I haven't started yet. Ethically questionable, since I still have that great mix you made for me, but what the hell.

  9. Kent Lambert says Hi Spike, I'm pretty sure that Kenny is indeed a fan of underground 60s films. I'm also not usually too keen on music videos in general but I really like what he did with this one. I'm glad we avoided exhausting music video stereotypes! Hey Jenny! I heard that PM was doing a review but didn't realize that you specifically were doing the reviewing. What the hell indeed! For what it's worth, I made that mix for anyone reading my MOG and you just happened to win a copy... ;)

  10. jenny says Sort of embarrassing when you can be bought for a mix CD, isn't it? A really good one, but still....
