MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Hey everybody! I'm back from my great and exhausting trip and now i'm safely ensconced at home in Hell A. While I drove through joshua tree and cactus filled landscapes, one cd I couldn't stop playing was "Tree Colored See" by Nobody & Mystic Chords of Memory. They play what I would term "BeatFolk". The album is a project between DJ Nobody and Chris Gunst, an ex-member of Beachwood Sparks. Hear it here: http://www.andrecords.jp/artists_e/nobody.html Listen to track 2 for a good example of their psychedelic folk mixed with fat beats.

cool - tried to listen to the tracks from that site but for some reason they wouldn't play in my WMP. But I will look for them on iTunes/Amazon. Joshua Tree - great place to hike and camp, BTW...

Ack! Sorry about the link. I tried it on another computer and the songs don't play. ITunes has the album, but it is listed as "Nobody Sand the Mystic Chords..." for some reason. Here's a different link where you can actually hear some songs: http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=20461
