WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

5GB of Love

Posted over 3 years ago
I'd just like to give a shout-out to my Ipod. He's called "Blue Melody" and it's his 5th birthday today. He looks kinda like this:He's lived a hard life so far, but he still works after 5 long years. Blue has no case, his face is grey and scratched and he can only hold 5GB, but I love him.

  8. Puffmagic says Yay! Mine's one month old as of yesterday. His name is "The Whale" cause he's 80GBs fat. The nifty case is from "iFrogz":http://ifrogz.com/. He's my special boy.

  9. LostSouthernHeat says I have a Creative Zen 20G's, I like it. Before that I owned an Archos that had 1.5inch screen a I downloaded movies, and before that I had an RCA with 128K compact flash that still works and sound great. The thing with flash memory and HD's is that a flash will never crash! and by all means (I know storage is small) Flash based mp's will out live HD's

  10. B42 says I just picked up my first a couple of weeks ago, 30g, but I haven't named it yet, any suggestions?

  11. Takeshi Kovacs says My Archos 20GB Jukebox turned 4 last December - it's still going strong. I love my little digital collection, but you can't wallow with it like you can CD's. I sometimes liked to fill the tub with my jewel cases and just jump in. Couple of trips to the ER stopped that habit in it's tracks. :)

  12. blueone51 says Congratulations. My 4 1/2-yr old original has outlived my 40 gig click wheel and is more dependable than the ipod color display. Sometimes old is good.

  13. tybees says I hope this isn't an indication that the newer models aren't as high-quality as the old ones. I can't wait to get mine already!

  16. lemontwist says Happy birthday to Blue Melody! When Chris and I were at Best Buy picking up his new 80 gig to replace the broken 20 gig, the sales guy still had his 5 gig model that he couldn't wait to upgrade. It hadn't died yet. I guess some iPods are just more robust than others, and some are taken care of very well. (Unlike Chris's 20 gig iPod, which we both dropped several times.)

  17. ebuzzmiller says the original iPods were made the best. the later ones, when they started adding color screens, backlit keys, touchpads, etc, all break within a year or two at most. the original is the classic, glad to see you still have it in service!

  18. Kate says Yeah, whenever i've used a friends newer iPod, I can't get used to the touchpad. I love the fact that mine has that moveable scroll wheel, it helps the klutz in me.

  21. CobyHoff says I have a 10GB one that looks just like that. It has the touch wheel, though. It must be 4 years old now, and still going strong. I'd still like to have one like Puffmagic's though.
