TAKE OFF YOUR SOCKS LEST THEY BE KNOCKED

Yellowcard Lets Us Down

Posted over 2 years ago
I am a big fan of Yellowcard. Their 2006 record, Lights and Sounds, was an amazing record, no matter how few records it sold. Their latest record, Paper Walls, was a huge let down for me. It is full of mainstream, pop-y songs that are sure to please their MTV fans. It seems as though the essence of the album was lost. It seems like they were focusing much more on how many records they would sell, as opposed to the quality of the record. There are, however, a few gems, including "Dear Bobbie", "Shadows and Regrets", and "Light Up The Sky" (its a shame that the last one will be their new single). For now I am forced to be content with Paper Walls, and wait for the next record, which will hopefully be filled with much more passion than this.

  1. dragonflyxeyes says Ya know, even though I've been making fun of you for the Paper Walls (I spelt Walla the first time! XD) saga, I fell bad. But I know when the Death Cab record comes out next year, you'll do the same thing...maybe. But, I still have that "Maroon 5 Worst Case Sceniro" thought and I'm anxious to see what happens. ...oh, and I owe you a dollar. =/
