Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst has definitely put his two cents out into the world- he has put out a total of fifteen albums and EPs altogether, plus countless miscellaneous songs. With his new album, Cassadaga, and a new EP, Four Winds, Bright Eyes has already created quite a stir. Everywhere I look, I see a review, interview, or advertisement featuring Bright Eyes and Conor [aka I'm getting sick of the attention he's getting- he was in Jane magazine for Christ's sake!]Conor Oberts has gone back to his wonderful acoustic with Cassadaga, and I could not be happier with this [I'm not a fan of his techno or whatever was on Digital Ash in a Digital Urn]. The songs are very catchy, but Conor has strategically places a few slow tunes among this album, such as "If The Brakeman Turns My Way". Conor has seemed to capture the atmosphere of Cassadaga perfectly in this album, with all the haunting elements that were put into this album. Conor's voice, plus all the strings and drums that went into this album, created a beautiful album that sounds like the best one yet. Cassadaga just works.PS: CONOR CUT YOUR HAIR!
