Saw Iron & Wine for the first time last Monday and the tunes are still swimming in my head. What a beautiful sound Sam Beam and Co. got going!
You know something special is happening when you are in a music venue in NYC, with many bars throughout, and the entire place is silent and staring at the stage for the entire show. The music definately sucked everyone in. I strongly recommend checking them out live.

Got there two minutes before Iron took the stage.....did not know who was opening at the time. When I told a buddy of mine that Blitzen opened, he said I dumped it by missing them. Did you dig them?
They weren't bad. basically what i expected. I really enjoyed watching them play. they weren't very lively on stage but their instrumentation and executonj were really fun to watch.
