Song 6
I fully admit that I had never even heard of *Future Clouds & Radar* before a few months ago. And even after that, it never occurred to me that these neo-psychedelic musings set to song would have come from the over-productive mind from one man, Robert Harrison. I say "over-productive" because not many bands, much less a single artist, put out a double-album as their first release. 27 songs, two discs, one amazing listen.
Harrison is no newcomer though. His previous band, called Cotton Mather (a new entry on the list of Dumbest Band Names) put out three bands before disbanding. Future Clouds & Radar marks his return from hiatus, in a very genre-spanning way. You'll find a little bit of everything, although you may have to search for it (the whole album clocks in around 90 minutes).
"Back Seat Silver Jet Sighter" is one of my favorites. It's a dreamy song that slowly evolves into a cheerful, horn-laden ending worthy of a Spoon song. Mind you, I have no idea what a Back Seat Silver Jet Sighter is, but he makes it sound pretty nice.
He even has a "Myspace":http://www.myspace.com/futurecloudsandradartx where you can download a decent amount of songs from the album.
