WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

And so it begins...

Posted about 1 year ago
I was planning on posting a new song and band I have discovered recently, but that post is on a brief hiatus because I have just read that:
*Radiohead is coming to St. Louis.*
Please excuse me while I catch my breath.
I was just talking to one of my friends about this, and we both reached the conclusion that no band of Radiohead's stature would ever, ever grace the Gateway City. Thank God I was wrong. Let me tell you, this is one hell of a way to start off 2008. I was a bit down because there were no decent concerts coming up, but now this: Radiohead.??(Me, right now)??

  1. sommer face says I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!! I *finally* saw them in 2003, and it was the best concert of my life.

  2. Jules09 says Oh you're lucky, I never have. I seriously cannot wait. where do you think they'll be playing at, the scottrade or verizon?

  3. sommer face says Probably Riverport (it will never be Verizon to me!). That's where they played last time. I had shitty seats because I was a moron and didn't get my tickets through W.A.S.T.E. Now I know better. :-)

  4. Jules09 says Haha, I was young when Riverport changed to UMB, so it's always been UMB for me. I actually typed out UMB first. Obviously, The Pageant would be ideal, but I would like a chance of getting tickets... Were you on the lawn or on the side somewhere?

  5. sommer face says I had seats. I was in row LL on the right side. So I had a decent view, but it could have been better. I'll never forget that show because they opened with "The Gloaming," and I could feel my pant legs shake because of all the base that was coming from the stage. It was the best feeling ever.

  6. Jules09 says oh man. that sounds great... this is, by far, the most glorious news i've heard in a very long time.

  7. sommer face says AMEN!! This concert season in St. Louis have been very dismal.

  8. Jules09 says I had good luck last year, with the Chili Peppers. I had to wait like six months before the next one (Interpol) and then Bloc Party and Modest Mouse in November. All 4 i never would have expected to come here, so I was grateful. Of course, I'm fully planning on Radiohead blowing them all out of the water...

  9. sommer face says I was at the Bloc Party show. My friend got a migraine, so we didn't get to stay for the whole thing. It was a fantastic show! Okay, last year's concert season was good. I know it's only the beginning of 2008, and there isn't much out there that I want to see or that I can get others to go to. My friends are picky.

  10. Jules09 says Oh that's a shame, they had one of the best encores I've ever seen. I was thinking about going to Dropkick Murphys, but probably not. There doesn't look to be anything coming up that I was even remotely considering going to.

  12. Jules09 says sweet jesus, that is a lot of money. even if you had only bought one instead of two. But I'm sure that it will be worth it. choosing our own price would be great, but one thing at a time for them i suppose. baby steps...

  14. rodneys26 says radiohead are surreal in concert - ive seen them 4 times, evolving from a small club band back in the day w/ creep, moving onto the bends era, when they rocked (still playing 2-3,000 seat venues) onto the radiohead of the last 8 years, player bigger and bigger venues and evolving into something real. i do have to say i love fake plastic trees....i also did notice a kooks tune on your page. a beautiful band to know and love...rms
